Apparently I’m the really slow kid on the playground.
This time my pal and children’s author extraordinaire Liz Scanlon at http://liz-scanlon.livejournal.com/ wants to know what blogs I regularly read. So …
This is tough because I haven’t been doing much of anything regularly, including eating, sleeping and keeping up with this blog (I’m still in rewrites … sorry). However, when I am my non-stressed/obsessed self, these are the electronic recreational spots I usually peek in on:
I think I’m not supposed to list the typical lit/author sites, but I’ve got to say, I love Liz’s (see above) “poetry Fridays.” They’re like an end-of-week dessert. Also, my pal Cynthia Leitich-Smith has TWO blogs I read regularly – one of the all-powerful public service to writers and readers at “Cynsations” ( http://cynthialeitichsmith.blogspot.com ), and one of her own dark-edged inner musings at http://spookycyn.blogspot.com/ .
[Subliminal message break: Buy Cyn’s new book Tantalize. It will save your life. It will bring you seven years of good luck. It will make you spawn presidents and movie stars. This has been a subliminal blog-vertisement. We now return you to Jenn’s regularly scheduled ramblings.]
I used to read Mixed Signals at npr.org, but that has run its course and I haven’t searched for its replacement yet. Dave Barry’s blog (http://blogs.herald.com/dave_barrys_blog/
And, well, that’s it. Other than the people I’m going to tag … and I hit their sites pretty regularly too. So slow down guys and let me tag you! No time outs! And no fair ducking!
Carla, I know you hit the cool blogs. Please share. http://chickenbus.livejournal.com/
